Da Capo

So...I just mercy killed my old blog because it involved tons of time, writing, and research.  It was really fun, but it was also a lot more work than I could handle with my schedule.

Then I had an idea for a new blog.  Da Capo is a musical term that means to repeat from the beginning.  In Italian, literally from the head.  Hence the blog's namesake.  The reason I named it Da Capo is because that's exactly how I listen to music, "from the beginning."  I obsess over a song.  Listening to it over and over and over.  And that's the point of the blog.

I'm going to post these songs on this blog whenever I begin obsessing over a song.  However, there has to be some ground rules before posting songs.

  1. As mentioned before, I have to have been playing this song over and over and over.  Obsession.
  2. It has to, at one time, passed the chill test.  I use the chill test for a lot of things.  Music, movies, sports, girls.  LIFE.  If I get the chills listening to a song, it's going on here.
  3. I've sang along with it (if possible).  This final test is essential.  If I haven't screamed it in my car, or when no one was home, then it didn't have any impact.
Once a song passes those three tests, it gets put on the blog for you to listen to over and over and over.

Hope you enjoy the music.

Josh
